What to expect at a home blood test

Short answer: You book online, our team confirms a time, and a registered nurse comes to your home or workplace. The nurse checks your ID, collects your sample in a few minutes, labels it in front of you and takes it to an accredited laboratory. Your results are reviewed by a doctor and we let you know when they are ready.

1. Book and confirm

Choose your test, or upload your doctor's request form, and pay online. Our team then contacts you to confirm the exact time of your visit.

2. Prepare

Drink water as normal unless your doctor says otherwise. If your test requires fasting, follow the instructions from your doctor or in your reminder message. Have photo ID and your Medicare card ready, wear sleeves that roll up easily, and set up a chair at a table with good light. See our preparation guide for detail.

3. The visit

Your nurse confirms your name and date of birth, checks your request form, and answers any questions. The collection itself only takes a few minutes, and your samples are labelled in front of you.

4. Results

Your samples go to a NATA-accredited partner laboratory. Tests on your doctor's request form go to your requesting doctor. Private tests ordered with us are emailed to you as a doctor-reviewed report.
