A few simple steps help your nurse complete the collection quickly and comfortably.
The day before
- Check your reminder message for fasting instructions.
- Keep your doctor's request form somewhere easy to find.
- Ask your doctor whether to take your usual medication before the test.
On the morning
- Drink water, even when fasting. It makes collection easier.
- Wear a top with sleeves that roll up easily.
- Have photo ID and your Medicare card ready.
When your nurse arrives
- You will receive an SMS when they are on the way.
- A table and chair in a well-lit spot is all they need.
Do I need to fast?
Only some tests require fasting. Your request form, booking confirmation or test page will tell you.

Common questions
How do I change or cancel my booking?
Use the link in your confirmation message. You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. Changes made within 24 hours of the appointment, or a missed visit, may incur the home visit fee.
What if my nurse is running late?
We will let you know by SMS straight away with an updated arrival time.
I feel faint during blood tests. What should I do?
Tell your nurse when they arrive. They can collect while you lie down, and will take their time.
When will I get my results?
Referred tests go to your requesting doctor. Tests ordered with us are emailed as a doctor-reviewed report.
