What is the Ultimate Performance test and who is it for?

The Ultimate Performance is our most comprehensive pathology panel designed for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, bodybuilders, and health-conscious individuals seeking complete hormonal and metabolic insights. It includes 15+ biomarkers covering thyroid function, sex hormones, stress hormones, metabolic health, growth factors, and blood health - everything needed to optimise performance and wellbeing.

Do I need to fast before this test?

Yes, fasting for 8-12 hours is required (water is fine). This ensures accurate readings for fasting insulin, glucose, and lipid markers (MBA, HDL, LDL). We also recommend scheduling your collection for early morning (7-9am) as hormone levels like cortisol, testosterone, and growth hormone are best measured at this time for accurate baseline readings.

How long does it take to get my results?

Most results are available within 2-3 business days. You'll receive a comprehensive report via email with all your biomarker levels and reference ranges. We recommend reviewing your results with your GP or healthcare practitioner for personalised interpretation and action plans.

What's the difference between in-clinic and home collection?

Both options provide identical comprehensive testing. In-clinic collection ($319) requires you to visit one of our pathology centers during business hours. Home/workplace collection ($394) includes a qualified nurse visiting your preferred location at a time that suits you - ideal for busy schedules, early morning collections, or added convenience.

Can I take this test if I'm on medication or supplements?

Yes, but please inform us of any medications or supplements you're taking, especially hormone replacement therapy (HRT/TRT), thyroid medication, anabolic steroids, or performance supplements, as these can significantly affect results. Consult your healthcare provider about whether to continue or temporarily pause medications before testing.
